PPC Kahuna Review By An Actual Member

PPC Kahuna is a pay per click membership course started by Jason Katzenback & Marc Quarles, although Jason is the face of the site. You may know Jason from his internet marketing related products (Traffic Kahuna, Syndicate Kahuna, Comment Kahuna, Portal Feeder) or as the blogger behind the new John Cow. If you have ever used his products or read his blog, you know he is quite successful at what he does and his products are very well put together. As an avid reader of JohnCow myself, I have always appreciated his insights into making money online and was I anxious to learn what he had to teach about pay per click marketing.

Here is what you get for your $67 a month membership fee.

PPC Kahuna software

This tool allows you to spy on your competition and emulate their successful PPC campaigns. PPC Kahuna is a desktop software that you download onto your computer and it will scan and track all the advertisers for the keywords you put in. By scanning the relevant keywords in your niche over the course of 1 or 2 weeks, you can quickly determine which specific keywords and advertisers are the most successful and making money.

This works on the idea that an advertisers would only spend money consistently on an keyword (and ad) if it was making them money. After collecting enough data, PPC Kahuna allows you to filter the results so you can easily spot these profitable keywords. This will enable you to use these keywords in your own campaigns, as well as identify good ad copy and landing pages to emulate. The software is comparable in functionality to other PPC spy tools like PPCBully and iSpionage which normally run about $50-75 a month. The tool works as advertised and my only wish is that it would work on my Mac.

PPC Kahuna 14 Day Challenge

This is your chance to look over the shoulders of Jason Katzenback as he goes through the process from beginning to end of setting up and launching his own pay per click campaign. This is where you will learn the theory and practice behind the PPC Kahuna system. Each day, you will find two video lessons, narrated by Jason on a specific topic. Each day’s lesson also includes a supplementary pdf which contain a checklist and easy to read flowchart to help you follow along by yourself. Not only does the PPC Kahuna system teach PPC theory, it also has a strong SEO focus as well. This ensures that you are achieving the maximum profit with your site from from both paid and free traffic traffic sources. The whole course is professionally put together and easy to follow along with.

BlitzLP

Want to creating landing pages on the fly? This is a script that you install on your own server and it makes it completely easy to create dynamic landing pages that can achieve high quality scores. The interface was just recently revamped and a ton of new features were added in the latest version. It’s a little hard to get your head around it at first, but after watching the included training videos, everything becomes much clearer. This is an awesome tool that you need to take advantage of and it is only going to get better. A comparable script like LPGen will run you $597, so this is amazing value right here.

PPC Kahuna Affiliate Blueprint

Each month of your membership, you will get access to a new affiliate blueprint. For the lazier folks among us, the blueprint gives you an exact niche that Jason and his team have already researched for you. Each plan will give you an overview of the niche, a plan of attack, both PPC and SEO keywords to use, a pre-sale page article, and three topic related articles. What more do you really need? It’s all there for you and all you need to do is implement and profit.

PPC Kahuna Web Based Tools

There are a ton of PPC tools on the PPC Kahuna site itself that are very useful. Let me highlight a few of them. The BlitzPPC tool enables you to add all your keywords, create some ads and export the campaign data to the Google Adwords Editor. If you have ever created an Adwords campaign by hand, you know what a timesaver this is. The PPC Ad Copy Wizard enables you to generate 9 variations of an ad to split test with. After rotating through each ad for awhile, enter in your results and it will tell you which is your strongest performing ad. There are also several keyword related tools including ones that allow you to clean up your keyword lists, group keywords together into adgroups, generate keyword variations and much more. Finally, there are also a couple of handy tools to generate your boilerplate text for Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages which will really save you some time.

PPC Kahuna Bonuses

There are several bonuses you get for signing up to PPC Kahuna, but my favorite one is the free upgrade to Traffic Travis Professional. This is a $97 value and Traffic Travis is one of those tools that you must have as an internet marketer. It has some great features for both SEO and PPC. I have been using this software for quite awhile now and I love it. The free version is great, but if you can get your hands on the Pro version, why not?

These are just some of the highlights of the PPC Kahuna Membership. There are actually a number of other cool aspects I’ve neglected to mention including the growing PPC Kahuna community. It is really easy to ask questions on the forum, and Jason himself is on there to answer questions. The software is constantly getting updated, and I expect to see new tools being added in the future. I encourage you to read my experiences with the PPC Kahuna 14 day challenge on this blog and then check out the sales page for more information. Overall, I am quite happy with my PPC Kahuna membership and will be staying on for quite awhile. If you are motivated to learn PPC, then I think PPC Kahuna is a great place to learn it.

PPC Kahuna – My First PPC Campaign Results Review

My Clickbank Earnings

My Clickbank Earnings

Sorry I haven’t posted for awhile. I launched my PPC campaign about a month ago and I wanted to run my campaign for awhile to get some worthwhile results to show. I’ve been running my campaign for a month now and here are my Clickbank results. As you can see, the product I am promoting is giving me about $66 per sale. The first week was great, as I made my first 3 sales. I’m not sure what happened on the second week, but I seem to be averaging 2 to 3 sales per week for the past two weeks. Overall for my first campaign, I’ve made $691.80 in revenue and spent $309.10 on Google Adwords. That’s 123% return on my money, not bad! I can’t wait to get my first check.

I’ve followed most of the PPC bidding and campaign optimization strategies from the last few lessons of the PPC Kahuna 14 Day Challenge. Over the course of the month, I’ve been testing and getting rid of my keywords, and my keyword list has been whittled down to just three keywords that are actually making me money. I also set up a permanent landing page instead of my iFrame one after the first two days, and I have been split testing a couple of different landing page styles to see which converts the best.

I think where I have the most room to grow for my site is on the SEO side of things. When I first got indexed in Google after the first week, I found my site on the 4th page of the results. I checked back two weeks later, and I saw my site at bottom of the 2nd page. Just this morning, I checked again and saw my site on the top of the 2nd page. Checking my Google Analytics stats, I am only getting a smattering of visitors from Google, but I think once I reach the first page, I should start seeing more traffic. My plan is to submit a few articles I just wrote up to the article directories and create accounts and add content to a couple of other Web 2.0 sites. Hopefully that will give me the boost to get into page one. Plus, as my domain ages, I should also get more authority. Once that happens, I think I will be able to add a couple more sales a week of my product.

All in all, I’m quite excited by what I have learned so far in the PPC Kahuna 14 Day Challenge. It is quite exciting to finally have launched my first profitable PPC campaign. My next step I think, is to take what I learned and replicate my success for another niche. This time, I think I am going to use the product from the PPC Kahuna Affiliate Blueprint series. I took a look at this month’s blueprint, and it contains almost all the research necessary to do well with that niche. Of course, I will be competing with other PPC Kahuna members, but I am up for the challenge. =)

I hope you got something out of my review of the PPC Kahuna 14 Day Challenge. It’s just my own personal experience, but I think if you are willing to put in the effort, you will be able to have success too. If you are thinking of joining PPC Kahuna, I would appreciate it if you would join through my affiliate link. The more the PPC Kahuna community grows, the more benefit I will get from it as well. Remember, there is a 30 Day No Questions Asked Refund Policy, so there is really no risk to you to see what PPC Kahuna is all about.

PPC Kahuna – Launching My First PPC Campaign

After a couple of days of writing more articles and submitting them to the article directories, I am pretty satisfied with my link building mini-net and I am finally ready to focus more on the PPC side of things and start building my pay per click campaign. I have now had my copy of PPC Kahuna scanning my keywords for more than 10 days, so I now should have some reasonable data I can analyze.

To prepare for this, I need to install three things. Prosper202, which is free script for tracking PPC campaigns. BlitzLP, which is a PPC Kahuna script which will allow me to create custom landing pages based on my keywords and adgroups. And finally Adwords Editor which is a free desktop tool from Google to help me upload my campaign to my Adwords account. Installation for each is pretty simple, although I had to setup a new domain to host both Prosper202 and BlitzLP.

Now, I’m ready to use PPC Kahuna to find my profitable keywords. PPC Kahuna makes this easy to do with its filtering capabilities. I have 10 days worth of data, so I set the program to filter out advertisers that were seen less than 7 days for a keyword and ads that were shown less than 85% of the time. That is we want the ads that were show the most frequently and consistently. I can then export these keywords and start creating adgroups out of them.

I am also interested in looking at the ad copy being used by affiliates, because they are the likely the ones that are promoting the same product as me. PPC Kahuna is actually smart enough to figure out and has a filter for this as well. I then make note of and record the ad copy that these advertisers are using to give myself an idea of how to structure my own ads.

To test my offer, I’m following the advice to make my first landing page just an iFrame of the offer. Google doesn’t like this for the long term, but it is helpful in the short term to see if my offer converts and to filter out any unprofitable keywords. This is where the PPC Kahuna Blitz LP script comes in. All I need to do is add in my adgroup keywords, and use an iFrame template.

Next, I go into Prosper202 to track my landing page and ads and get my tracking links and landing page code to add into BlitzLP. Finally I enter in my Adwords campaign details into the BlitzPPC tool which will export this data into a format I can put into the Adwords Editor. After setting a few things in the Adwords Editor, all I need to do is hit ‘Post Changes’ button and my campaign uploaded to Adwords.

My campaign is now live! After a day or so, I will start implementing some of the bidding and other strategies mentioned in the last couple days of the training. Check back soon to see my results…
